Sustainable wellness is a way of approaching life as though you’re responsible for what happens to you and your body, meaning you regularly pay attention to you. How do you feel in your body right now?
Sit tall, close your eyes, relax your shoulders, begin to sense your way into your internal body.
How is your breathing? Short, shallow, smooth? Is there stress, discomfort, pain. Chances are this occupies your awareness. Consider exploring these techniques to see if they help and if you’re feeling great right now, awesome. These tips can help you stay there.
Breathe. A few mindful breaths, to start the day, before you speak, after a sentence. Most of us generally aren’t using even 3/4 of our lung capacity.
Walk. Just 10 mins a day to increase your energy. Start wherever you are, one foot in front of the other, walk for 5 minutes, turn and head back.
Feel. Ask yourself, how do I feel today? Most of us spend most of our time in our heads and forget about the body until it gets our attention with discomfort and pain. Learn how to sense your way through in a non judgemental way.
Mediatate. Just a few minutes a day. Inspirational reading, meditation or prayer.
Here’s to a happier, healthier you!
